GolfCart3

It seems that with each passing week, there are scores of new golf cart crashes across the nation. And these aren’t just any golf cart crashes,  these are some of the most shocking and reckless crashes imaginable. It is clear that these “vehicles” are not only becoming more popular, but also more dangerous. Whether this has something to do with the golf cart operators, other drivers, or even golf cart manufacturers is inconsequential. What matters is that numerous people are becoming injured – and some are even losing their lives.

Oklahoma Woman Dies After Golf Cart Crash

On October 4th of 2023, it was reported that a woman in Oklahoma had lost her life after a collision between a golf cart and a passenger vehicle. Police say that she was driving the golf cart down a major street when she ran through a stop sign. It was at this moment that she was struck by a Ford Expedition. Police say that they are launching a thorough investigation into the matter, and that the woman was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

Teen Struck by SUV in New York State

On October 3rd of 2023, it was reported that two juveniles had been struck by a SUV in New York. The teens suffered serious injuries, and it is not clear who exactly was to blame for the collision. Nonetheless, this highlights that when an SUV collides with a golf cart, serious injuries or fatalities are likely.

Villager Loses License But Keeps Driving Anyway

Back in April of 2023, a Villager was arrested on DUI charges after her BMW SUV veered off the road and into a golf cart retailer. There were many golf carts in front of the retailer on display, and the drunk driver apparently struck three of the golf carts. Police arrived and immediately deduced that the woman had been drinking. She then refused to provide a breath sample, and so she lost her license. In addition, she was placed on probation for one year.

However, it seems as though the woman decided to continue driving anyway. This led to a second arrest for speeding. Apparently, she drove to her probation appointment because she believed she had been granted an exception. However, no such exception was made.
