What Happens When a Road Vehicle Hits a Golf Cart in The Villages?

At least to some degree, road vehicles are designed to impact one another. Golf carts, on the other hand, are built with almost zero safety considerations whatsoever. When a road vehicle strikes a golf cart, the consequences can be horrific. If you’re wondering what happens when a passenger car hits a golf cart, you need only look at some of the latest crashes.

SUV Crashes into Golf Cart

On October 2nd, it was reported that two juveniles operating a golf cart had been struck by an SUV. Both boys were hospitalized with serious injuries, illustrating just how little protection these small vehicles offer to their occupants – especially in the case of an impact with an SUV. There is no word on what or who caused the accident, although the driver of the SUV remained at the scene of the crash. That investigation is ongoing.

A Motorcycle Can Cause Serious Damage to a Golf Cart

It’s not difficult to imagine what might happen when an SUV strikes a golf cart. On the other hand, the outcome of a collision between a motorcycle and a golf cart might be much less obvious. A crash of this nature occurred recently on October 2nd. In this case, a golf cart driver attempted to cross a highway and was struck by a motorcyclist. The impact caused the 85-year-old golf cart driver to suffer fatal injuries. The motorcyclist was also hurt in the crash, suffering injuries after being ejected from his motorcycle. When a motorcycle and a golf cart collide, there is no winner.

Even Shrubs Can Damage Golf Cart Passengers

The truth is that even a slight impact with shrubbery can cause golf cart drivers to suffer injuries. On October 1st, it was reported that a golf cart driver in The Villages had lost his license after impacting shrubbery in 2022. The individual was apparently intoxicated at the time of the crash, and he was accused of operating the golf cart in an out-of-control manner in a parking lot. After hitting the shrubs, the golf cart driver was ejected from the vehicle. First responders arrived at the scene to assess his injuries, ultimately concluding that he required hospitalization. Not only did the driver lose his license as a result of this incident, but he was also ordered to complete 50 hours of community service.
